ACADEMY PHYSICAL SCIENCE

We are going on a field trip to the Fire Station # 2 on Kiowa on Wednesday, May 14th, 2008. All the students should turn in their permission slips signed by their parents. We’ll leave at 1:00Pm in the afternoon and come back to school before 2:30Pm. All the students should write a report on how Hydraulics is used in fire trucks and turn it in to me by Friday.

ACADEMY CHEMISTRY

We are going on a field trip to the Grand Canyon Caverns on Thursday, May 15th, 2008. All the students should turn in their permission slips signed by their parents. We’ll leave at 7:30 in the morning and come back around 3:00Pm. Telesis is paying for your entrance ticket. You should get money for your lunch; get some snack and lots of water as well. You can also bring your cameras to take pictures. After the field trip you have to do either a Powerpoint presentation or a posterboard about how the caverns have formed, and how the celebrity chemical Calcium Carbonate undergoes various reactions to form stalactites and staglagmites. This assignment is due on Friday the 23rd of May.
