Monday: Students should do research for the Nuclear Radioactivity Debate depending on what side they picked, which is on Friday 2/28/14.

Are the risks of nuclear power acceptable for the benefit of generating electricity?

Explore the health and environmental reasons for both sides of the argument.

Tuesday: Students should research information and write it down to prepare for the debate.

Thursday: Students should prepare for the Nuclear Power Plants Debate on Friday.

Chemistry for Week: 2/24/14 - 2/28/14

Monday: Most of the student's were participating in AIMS Writing today. Hence, there is no homework. However, student's can always get caught up on their AR.

Tuesday: Students should complete sec-5.1 review and sec-5.2 notes for homework.

Wednesday: Not available.

Thursday: Read sec-5.3 and take detailed notes on it.

Friday: Do the highlighted practice problems in Book-1.

Algebra 1 for Week: 2/24/14 - 2/28/14

Monday: Student's have an extra day to finish sec-2.5 handout. Student's had trouble on this handout and we spent time in class going over the problems.

Tuesday: Sec-2.6, students should do problems 11-22 and 25-30 on a separate sheet of paper. This is due at the beginning on the class on Wednesday.

Wednesday: Not available.

Thursday: Sec-2.7, pg-127 do #'s 10 to 36.

Friday: Ch-2 test will be on Tuesday or Wednesday. Review sec-2.1 to 2.8. We will go over sec-2.8 during class on Monday. Review the chapter review on pg-152-155. Do #'s 16-43 on a separate sheet of paper. This sheet will be collected on Monday at the beginning of the class.

Tuesday: Students do not have extra homework tonight. They should finish their Mining essay, which is due on 2/19/14.

Wednesday: Students should read Sec-7.1 and take detailed notes on it.

Earth Science for Week 2/10/14 - 2/14/14

Tuesday: Finish Sec-5.2 review. Book 1 and 2 are due on Wednesday.

Wednesday: Students should research the mining impacts in a specific state and write a persuasive essay supporting or opposing continued mining in that region. This essay is due next Wednesday, 2/19/14. Students should type the essay and either e-mail me at pchava@telesis-academy.org or bring it on a flash drive. We will spend time during class in the computer lab doing the research next couple of days.

Thursday: Work on the research information for the essay.

Friday: Students do not have other homework. They should work on the essay as it is due on Wednesday 2/19/14.

Tuesday: Students should finish the NOMENCLATURE handout. They should also work on Chapter-4 handout. These handouts are due on Wednesday.

Wednesday: Read Sec-4.2, Naming and Writing Formulas for More Complex Compounds, and take detailed notes on it.
