Monday: Test on ch-3, states of matter. Later students’ will work on an inquiry lab – How can you study objects that are not visible? Discussion on sec-4.1, Studying atoms. Students’ will learn about Dalton’s atomic theory, Thomson’s model of the atom, and Rutherford’s atomic theory. Do the section assessment for homework.
Tuesday: Discussion on sec-4.2, Structure of an atom. We will discuss about properties of subatomic particles, atomic number, mass number, scanning tunneling microscope, and isotopes. Do the section assessment for homework.
Wednesday: Discussion on sec-4.3, Modern atomic theory. Students’ will learn about Bohr’s model of the atom, electron cloud model, atomic orbitals, and electron configurations. Do the section assessment for homework.
Thursday: Students’ will work on a lab – Using flame tests. Later they will sit in groups and study for the test.
Friday: Test on ch-4, Atomic structure.
