Monday: Discussion on sec-13.2, Using Gas Laws to Solve Problems. Students will learn the ideal gas law and use it in calculations, the relationship between the partial and total pressure of a gas mixture, calculations involving Dalton's law of partial pressures, the molar volume of an ideal gas, etc. Do the notes for homework.
Tuesday: Today students will work on several problems to calculate Dalton's law of partial pressure. Do the sec-13.2 review for homework.
Wednesday: We will discuss sec-13.3, Using a Model to Describe Gases. Students will learn the relationship between laws and models, the postulates of kinetic molecular theory, and describe the properties of real gases. Do the notes and review for homework.
Thursday: Students will work on the ch-13 chapter assessment for the first part of the block. Next, they will study for the test.
Friday: Test on ch-13, Gases.
