Wednesday: Discussion on sec-1, Properties of minerals. We’ll talk about the crystal structures, chemical composition, and various tests used to identify minerals. Do the worksheet and section assessment for homework.
Thursday: Discussion on section-2, How minerals form? We’ll discuss how minerals form from magma and lava, from solutions, by evaporation, from hot water solutions, etc. Do the section review and worksheet for homework.
Friday: Discussion on sec-3, using mineral resources. We’ll talk about gemstones, metals, mining, prospecting, smelting, further processing, etc. Do the worksheet and section review for homework.
