Chemistry Schedule for October 31st - Nov 4th

Monday: Students will study for the test for the first half hour. Next, they will take a test on ch-7, Chemical Reactions. Ch-7 section reviews and chapter assessment are due today.

Tuesday: We will discuss sec-8.1, Reactions in aqueous solutions. Students will learn about precipitation reaction, strong and weak electrolytes, using solubility rules, and describing reactions in aqueous solutions. Do the notes and practice problems for homework.

Wednesday: Students will work on various types of reactions to identify what types of products form. They will learn to identify molecular equation, ionic equation, spectator ion, and net ionic equation. Next, they will work on the section review.

Thursday: Today we will discuss sec-8.2, Other reactions in Aqueous Solutions. Students will learn about Arrhenius acids and bases, strong acids, strong bases, and oxidation-reduction reactions. Do the notes and section review for homework.

Friday: Discussion on sec-8.3, Classifying Reactions. We will learn about various classification schemes for reactions, double-displacement reaction, acid-base reactions, single-replacement, combustion, synthesis, decomposition reactions, etc. Do the notes and section review for homework.
